SUVA, Fiji (3 July 2002) -- An oil tanker registered in Vanuatu has run aground threatening an ecological disaster in Fiji's most renowned diving and tourist resort area. The Great Teresa ran aground at Navula Passage, some five hours after leaving Nadi's Vuda ship terminal. The Navula Passage is in the Mamanuca and Yasawa islands and boasts some of the Fiji's most pristine reefs and best diving sites.
