MALE, Maldives (30 Sep 2001) -- Sea 'N See Pvt Ltd of the Maldives has announced it will sponsor iPlanet's scuba portal network.

Sea 'N See owns and operates "Manthiri", a luxury liveaboard based in the Maldives that is renowned for its uncompromising standards of safety, comfort and service.

"In the past, our primary focus was on the US market," explained Ibrahim H. Manik, Sea 'N See Managing Director. "Now we are reaching out to the global dive travel market, including Japan, and that's why we have signed on as an iPlanet sponsor."

iPlanet is the world's leading scuba publisher with 30 ad-free, news-driven publications in English and Japanese.  The non-profit organization is renowned for its proactive commitment to marine conservation and dive safety, and its objective evaluations of scuba products and services.

"We are delighted to welcome Sea 'N Sea to our global family of sponsors," said iPlanet executive director, Stanford Suzuki. "Manthiri sets the standard of excellence for liveaboard diving not only in the Maldives but throughout the world."

"This is an important and exciting new opportunity for iPlanet," said CDNN Managing Editor, Freeman Washington.  "It signifies the enormous advantage, both in cost and credibility, of promoting scuba products and services via the news-driven global network iPlanet pioneered."
