ST. THOMAS, Virgin Islands (28 Dec 2001) -- CEO Duncan Muirhead has announced that Trimarine Boat Company will sponsor iPlanet, which publishes CDNN, Cyber Diver, ScubaLinx, Scuba Forum, Scuba Poll and jDiver.

Trimarine owns and operates the renowned Cuan Law and the Lammer Law multihull live-aboards, the world's largest trimaran sailing vessels and two of the most stable and safest live-aboards ever built.  Cuan Law explores the Caribbean from its base in the British Virgin Islands and Lammer Law explores the legendary islands of the Galapagos.

Multihull design innovator, Duncan Muirhead, designed and built Cuan Law and Lammer Law in the early 1980s and pioneered the trend towards ultra-wide and ultra-stable multihulls.  Both vessels offer divers huge deck areas with beams of 42-44 ft.

But Cuan Law and Lammer Law offer far more than a smooth ride, spacious staterooms and spectacular diving. The company has earned its reputation as one of the world's premier live-aboard operators with impeccable service and cuisine that CDNN managing editor, Freeman Washington, describes as 'sinfully delicious'.

"Every year since CDNN started rating diving services and products, Cuan Law and Lammer Law have been recognized as among the world's top five live-aboard vessels," said Washington. "Annie and Duncan Muirhead are true pioneers who set the standard twenty years ago by which all other top-class live-aboards are still measured to this day.  And because Cuan Law and Lammer Law reflect Annie and Duncan's uniquely personal vision of first-class live-aboard diving, their standard of excellence may never be equaled unless Trimarine puts another boat in the water."

Duncan Muirhead described Trimarine's decision to sponsor iPlanet as a reflection of the company's strong and uncompromising commitment to marine conservation and dive safety.  "We have always thought that iPlanet performs a great service for the world diving community and we are delighted to sponsor the network," Muirhead explained.

iPlanet is the world's leading scuba publisher with 30 ad-free, news-driven publications in English and Japanese.  The non-profit organization is renowned for its proactive commitment to marine conservation and dive safety, and its objective evaluations of scuba products and services.
