UK (2 July 2002) -- The British Sub-Aqua Club (BSAC), the world's largest diving club, has recently launched a specialist website for the travelling scuba diver. BSAC Travel Club Website provides a wealth of information for those travelling to dive locations both in the United Kingdom and throughout the world. It not only contains valuable facts about where to go and what to expect when you get there, but considerable detail about trip planning, health requirements, Tourist Boards, weather, what to take, specialist books, airlines and much more. The information has been independently gathered and edited, without any vested interests involved. David Dixon, BSAC Travel Club Co-ordinator, who conceived the Travel Club, said "We hope to build the definite information source of choice for the travelling diver. However, we also expect it to become a valuable resource for the travel trade. | | Tour operators and others will be able to refer their clients to information on the site to show them what to expect and help them get the best out of their holidays." "Our motivation is simple," added Mary Tetley, BSAC's Operations Manager, "we want to encourage more people to enjoy the pleasures of safe diving in some of the exciting places in British waters and around the world." BSAC, which is the governing body for scuba diving in the UK, celebrates its 50th anniversary next year. Tens of thousands of its members and those that have trained under its auspices travel abroad every year. However, the new website will be open to anyone interested directly or indirectly in scuba travel. The new website can be found at: http://www.bsactravelclub.co.uk COPYRIGHT © CDNN NewsWire |
