DARWIN, Australia (25 Nov 2000) -- Scientists diving in Darwin Harbor have discovered a rare worm mollusk that has been found only once before in Australian waters.

According to Dr. Richard Willan, curator of mollusks at the Northern Territory Museum, scientists found the organism on soft coral.

Dr. Willan described the selena gasta mollusk as one of the rarest and most bizarre of mollusk groups which include clams, bi-valves, cuttlefish and squid.
