SAN DIEGO, California (10 Aug 2008) — The San Diego City Attorney's Office filed charges against scuba poachers Dorr Erik Overby and Jesse Tyler House-knecht.

Overby and House-knecht were charged with poaching 122 lobsters out of season, of which 113 were undersize.

The most recent lobster season ended on March 19.

On June 18, a California Department of Fish and Game warden caught Overby and House-knecht as they emerged from the ocean near Casa Beach with bags full of lobsters.

The lobsters were returned to the ocean after they were photographed as evidence.

Officials said the accused poachers will have to appear in San Diego Superior Court on August 27.
