MANILA, Philippines (18 May 2000) -- Another bomb explosion in Manila, the fourth in the past two weeks, killed one and wounded 14 people.

The bomb went off in a huge downtown Manila shopping mall which was crowded with thousands of shoppers.

Defense Secretary Orlando Mercado blamed rebels for recent bombings although Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) denied involvement.
