MINDANAO, Philippines (18 May 2000) -- 10 people were wounded when a bomb exploded at a bus terminal in Midsayap town on Mindanao Island.

At about the same time, suspected Islamic rebels attacked a Philippine navy ship docked in nearby Cotabato City.

The rebels attacked in high-speed boats and fired on the ship with grenade launchers.

The ship was damaged but none of the Navy crew was injured in the fighting.
