SUVA, Fiji (6 Aug 2000) -- Fiji prosecutors have revealed they will ignore amnesty and charge racist rebel leader George Speight with treason. Speight and 12 key associates appeared in court and pleaded innocent to five charges. They were sent back to Nukulau island prison where they will be detained until their next court hearing which is scheduled for August 11.
