MIAMI, Florida (30 Sep 2000) -- Blackbeard's Cruises of Miami, Florida has selected Image Marine of Australia to build their new 31m/102ft liveaboard catamaran, 'Aqua Cat.'

Image is one of the few companies that has focused on the liveaboard market and they have developed the design with input from liveaboard operators.

The new luxury cat features three decks, 11 ocean-view cabins and a spacious salon and dining area. Each cabin includes a private shower and head. The vessel will also have E-6 processing, a complete video lab and nitrox.

Aqua Cat will commence operations in July 2001, departing Nassau, Bahamas every Saturday for eight-day, seven-night dive trips to the remote Exuma Islands.
