HONIARA, Solomon Islands (7 Oct 2000) -- Rebels have finally released Solomon Airlines pilot, Eric Rove. Rove was kidnapped two and a half weeks ago by Isatabu Freedom Movement rebels. The rebels demanded $400,000 to free the pilot and airliner they hijacked in mid-September.
