PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKY, Russia (6 Aug 2005) -- PREPARATIONS were made today for an emergency resurfacing of a Russian mini-submarine with a seven-man crew aboard as a British undersea robot cut debris in which the vessel was tangled, a Russian navy spokesman said. "Steps have been taken to clear the area of the operation for the planned resurfacing of the AS-28 submarine," Interfax news agency quoted a spokesman for the Russian Pacific Fleet which is coordinating the rescue operation as saying. "The propeller has been totally unblocked.
