MALTA  (2 Nov 2006) -- A diver scuba diving off Delimara Point found a box of bones that may be linked to a 2005 murder in Malta.

Police believe the bones are the remains of 48-year-old Brian Rosso, who disappeared on October 10, 2005.

Two men were arrested soon after Rosso disappeared and later confessed to shooting Rosso and dumping his body in the sea.

But despite extensive searches in the area, police failed to find the victim's remains.

The box, which was tied up with barbed wire, was found about 100 meters off the coast at a depth of about 25 meters.

It has not yet been recovered due to adverse sea conditions.
