BURROW HEAD, Scotland (27 Nov 2000) -- Coastguards have resumed their search for a diver who failed to surface after a wreck exploration off the Scottish coast. The 40-year-old English man, whose name has not been released, was reported missing by his companion on Friday afternoon. The pair had gone to explore a wreck in 160ft of water off Burrow Head, six miles south of the Isle of Whithorn. Four lifeboats and a Royal Navy helicopter were called out to assist in the search for the man, but there was no sign of him. A spokesman for Liverpool Coastguard, which has been co-ordinating the rescue, said the search was suspended on Friday night because of fading light. On Saturday morning, he said: "We have resumed our search of Burrow Head, south of the Isle of Whithorn. "We will continue until the search is complete."
