KOTA KINABALU, Malaysia (26 Apr 2005) -- Police divers have recovered the body of a Sabah millionaire who went missing on a scuba diving and snorkeling trip with several friends.

Lam Yat Keong, 52, went missing at about 2pm while he was snorkeling off Pulau Baik.  At the same time four of Lam's friends were scuba diving and a 10-year-old boy was onboard the group's boat.

Police told CDNN the boy heard shouts for help, put on a life jacket and jumped into the sea but Lam disappeared beneath the surface before the youngster could reach the stricken snorkeler.

Two days after Lam went missing, police search and rescue divers found the victim's body wedged into a coral reef at a depth of 31 meters.

An autopsy will be done to determine the cause of death, however, officials investigating the incident do not suspect foul play.

Lam owned oil palm plantations, the Lahad Datu Golf and Country Club and several other businesses in Sabah.
