VANCOUVER, Canada (7 June 2005) -- A teenage scuba diver went missing while scuba diving off West Vancouver's Whytecliff Park.

The 18-year-old male diver descended with a buddy to a depth of about 40 meters where the two lost visual contact in poor visibility.

The buddy searched underwater, then surfaced and notified police of a missing diver emergency.

Coast guard divers searched the area but found nothing.

Police told CDNN both divers were experienced but declined to give other details as the accident is under investigation.
