Missing scuba diver's body recovered 10 days after she went missing

MYSTIC, Connecticut (30 June 2005) -- A scuba diver's body has finally been recovered 10 days after she went missing.

Sandra Palmer Dagata, 43, disappeared on June 20 while scuba diving with her boyfriend off Ram Island.

Despite a massive search involving scores of search and rescue divers, Dagata was not found.

Now some 10 days after Dagata went missing, a fishermen found her body near Latimer Reef Light off Stonington.

The medical examiner's office has been ordered to perform an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
