VICTORIA, British Columbia (11 Sep 2005) -- A scuba diver who went missing off Hornby Island has been rescued.

The 40-year-old male diver was diving with five other divers off a commercial dive boat near Norris Rocks.

After losing contact with the group at depth, the diver surfaced alone and could not see other divers or the dive boat.

He drifted down current for several kilometers before he was found about an hour after he surfaced.
