HOLLYWOOD, Florida (13 Sep 2005) -- Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officials are still searching for the boater who ran over and killed a diver near Dania Beach pier on Saturday.

Police told CDNN no witnesses have come forward to add details to what little is known about the hit-and-run boat.

According to the diver's buddy, the boat was white with blue trim, about 25 to 30 feet in length and there was a woman wearing a bikini onboard.

The victim has been identified as 26-year-old Ghaleb Tayfour, a student at Florida Atlantic University.

The divers were using a "diver down" flag as required by Florida law.

Police and state wildlife officers have asked anyone with information about the accident to call 305-956-2500 or 954-493-8477.
