Japanese tourist dies scuba diving in Australia

QUEENSLAND, Australia (23 Sep 2005) -- A Japanese tourist died while scuba diving off Lady Elliot Island in Australia.

The victim was a 30-year-old female from Osaka who was boat diving with four friends when she was found unconscious at the surface. Attempts to revive her failed.

The accident is under investigation by Queensland safety authorities.
