LANIKAI, Oahu (14 July 2006) -- A diver drowned Friday morning after being underwater for 15 minutes, according to emergency officials. The man was diving with friends in waters off of Lanikai when he got into trouble, officials said. The man's friends pulled him from the water and brought him to shore by boat. | | Lifeguards and firefighters performed CPR on the man until paramedics arrived. The Emergency Medical Service team treated the man at the scene and took him to Castle Medical Center, where doctors pronounced him dead.
