Scuba diver rescued off St. John's Point in Donegal Bay

DONEGAL BAY, Ireland (30 Sep 2006) -- A scuba diver was rescued after a scuba diving accident in Donegal Bay.

The Bundoran Lifeboat Station at Donegal Bay responded to a distress call on Saturday at about 2pm and immediately deployed a search and rescue lifeboat.

The Bundoran Lifeboat recovered the diver at about 2:25pm off St. John's Point.

A fishing boat in the area also assisted with the rescue.

The diver was taken to Killybegs Harbour and is expected to make a full recovery.
