AUCKLAND, New Zealand (5 Feb 2007) -- The search for a scuba diver missing north of Auckland has been called off and will resume at first light on Tuesday.

The experienced diver, aged 34, has not been seen since Monday afternoon, when he was diving off rugged coastline north of Omaha Beach.

Crews on Coastguard and local boats, and a helicopter, have been searching in conditions described as atrocious, with heavy swells.
