POMPANO BEACH, Florida (21 Apr 2007) -- A tourist scuba diving with the 'Scuba Tyme III' dive charter boat died after an accident at the 'Sea Emperor' wreck diving site.

Kyril Sabeff, 57, of Evansville, Indiana, was photographing the wreck at a depth of about 18 to 20 meters when he lost consciousness.

Other divers in the group said they noticed that Sabeff was not moving and that his regulator was not in his mouth.

The group aborted the dive, brought Sabeff to the surface and pulled him aboard the dive boat.

As the boat sped to shore, the divers administered CPR.

Paramedics took over when the dive boat reached shore and rushed the victim to North Broward Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

The scuba diving accident is under investigation and an autopsy has been scheduled to determine the cause of death.
