KEY LARGO, Florida (17 July 2007) -- A woman on holiday in Florida died while scuba diving with Ocean Divers.

Lori Gallagher, 36, was diving at Molasses Reef off Key Largo with her two children, ages 10 and 13, and her boyfriend, John Seasock when she encountered problems.

According to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, Seasock and the children called for help after Gallagher started to panic.

Seasock told police that he helped Gallagher drop some of her lead weights after she complained about being overweighted.

That's when Gallagher started to panic and tried to climb on top of Seasock who was pushed underwater.

After divers managed to pull the victim back onboard the Ocean Divers dive boat, a doctor who happened to be among the divers initiated CPR.

The boat crew called for help and paramedics were standing by onshore at the end of Marina Avenue.

The paramedics were not able to revive Gallagher and she was pronounced dead at 2:45pm.
