LA JOLLA, California (26 July 2007) -- Lifeguards have recovered the body of a man who died scuba diving off the coast of southern California. The diver, a male in his 40s has not yet been identified. Officials said the man told lifeguards that he planned to go diving but was unfamiliar with the area. A couple of hours later at about 5:15pm, a kayaker spotted the body floating about 140 meters off La Jolla Shores and notified lifeguards.
