CAM, Gloucestershire, UK (9 August 2007) -- The family of a diver whose body was found on a wreck off the Cornish coast have said she "died taking part in a sport she loved". The bodies of Kaye Moss, 43, and her dive buddy David White, 42, were recovered from the wreck of the Scylla near Whitsand Bay on 2 August. Police are investigating the deaths, which are not seen as suspicious. Mrs Moss's husband Trevor, of Cam, Gloucestershire, said: "She wanted to go to every dive site in the world." 'Loved it' Mr Moss and their two sons Dan, 16, and Rob, 13, are also experienced divers. Mr Moss, a detective constable with the Gloucestershire Constabulary, said: "She absolutely loved it, and was probably more into it than I was. All of our family holiday plans had to revolve around diving. "She wanted to dive in places like the Maldives and Micronesia." In a statement Gloucestershire County Council said Mrs Moss was a long-standing member of staff at Berkeley Primary School and described her as "a gifted teacher who was an inspiration to all who worked with her". Mrs Moss and Mr White started diving eight years ago when they joined the South Gloucester British Sub Aqua Club. The pair had gone out to the Scylla wreck on board the crewed Maid Maggie boat. |
