Body of missing NZ scuba diver recovered

TAURANGA, New Zealand (30 Dec 2007) — Searchers recovered the body of a woman who disappeared while scuba diving off the coast of Tauranga.

Catherine Kells, 29, of Waikato went missing on Friday morning while scuba diving near Motiti Island.

Divers found her body on Sunday morning at about 6am near the dive site where she was last seen.

Police, Coastguard, friends and relatives joined an extensive air and sea search on Friday and Saturday.
