TASMANIA, Australia (31 Dec 2007) — A man drowned while diving near Sloping Island in southern Tasmania.

Officials told CDNN the 38-year-old diver, as yet unidentified, was diving with hookah equipment off the northwest side of the Tasman Peninsula.
