SEATTLE, Washington (5 Jan 2008) — A scuba diver was found floating unconscous in Seattle's Elliott Bay.

Police said the victim was a male in his 40s but declined to release his identity.

Another diver found him and pulled him to shore near Alki Point where a bystander performed CPR until help arrived.

Seattle Fire Department paramedics took the man to Harborview Medical Center.

Authorities declined to speculate on what might have caused the accident and hospital officials have not commented on the man's condition.
