PETAWAWA, Ontario (3 Apr 2008)A coroner in Ontario, Canada has ordered an inquest into the April, 2006 scuba accident that killed a man who was diving with the Barracuda Scuba Club.

Searchers recovered the body of Charles Padula, 24, on April 9, 2006, several days after he went missing while scuba diving where the Petawawa and Ottawa rivers converge.

Regional supervising coroner of the Peterborough office, Dr. Peter Clark, ordered the inquest to begin on April 23 at the Petawawa town hall.

According to CDNN sources in Ontario, the Barracuda Scuba Club of Petawawa shut down after Padula died and is no longer organizing scuba diving activities.
