COUNTY MAYO, Ireland (10 Apr 2008) — The search has resumed for a French diver who disappeared last night.

The missing diver, believed to be in his early 20s, was diving with a friend off the Co Mayo coast in the Westport area.

The buddy diver called for help at about 8:30pm.

Authorities launched an air and sea search with lifeboats from Achill and Westport, and helicopters from Shannon and Sligo.
