STEILACOOM, Washington (22 Apr 2008) — A man died after he lost consciousness and drowned while scuba diving. Alan Kaschube, 38, was scuba diving with a friend off Sunnyside Beach in Steilacoom when he encountered problems at depth. His buddy pulled him to the surface and brought him to shore at about 6:30pm. Paramedics rushed Kaschube to St. Clare Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
