TAMWORTH, UK (17 May 2008) — A man was airlifted to hospital for medical treatment in a hyperbaric chamber after a scuba diving accident at Dosthill Quarry. Authorities declined to identify the 31-year-old male diver but said he surfaced too rapidly from a depth of 18 meters (60 feet). Staffordshire's Air Ambulance responded to a call for help from the facility and took the injured diver to hospital. The helicopter crew said the man began to suffer pain in his legs during the flight. The diver is expected to fully recover from his injuries. © CDNN - CYBER DIVER NEWS NETWORK |
