Man dies scuba diving at Gull Lake

ROSS TOWNSHIP, Michigan (25 May 2008) — A man died while scuba diving with in Gull Lake at Ross Township Park.

Christopher Phillips, 58, encountered problems on his second dive of the day and was found floating unconscious in a swimming area.

Bystanders called 911 and started CPR but paramedics declared the scuba diving accident victim dead at the scene.

Police are investigating the accident and an autopsy has been scheduled to determine the cause of death.
