PLANTATION REEF, Florida (29 May 2008) — A pastor from North Carolina died while diving in the Florida Keys.

Robert Frazier, 57, the pastor of the Union Road Church of God died while diving with friends at Plantation Reef.

Other divers in the group told police they noticed something was wrong when they saw Frazier, who was diving without scuba equipment, waving his arms at the surface.

They pulled him back onboard the boat where he collapsed and stopped breathing.

Attempts to revive Frazier with CPR failed and paramedics pronounced the victim dead when the boat arrived at shore.

Frazier was on holiday in the Keys after speaking at churches in Fort Meyers and Miami as part of a lay ministry program.
