Man dies scuba diving in Scotland

KIRKWALL, Scotland (2 June 2008) — A man died after a scuba diving accident off the coast of Orkney.

The coastguard service found the victim on the shoreline of the isle of Westray after they received a call for help at about 4:30pm.

A Coastguard lifeboat took the stricken diver to Kirkwall where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities have not yet identified the man pending notification of kin.
