MALE, Maldives (10 June 2008) — A teen diver in the Maldives who complained of a headache after resurfacing has died.

Police said Ahmed Risham, 18, of Kaafu Atoll Kaashidhoo, appeared to be fine immediately after completing a dive and returning to his dive boat.

But the nine dive boat crew including Risham's older brother said they had to take the young diver to Kaashidhoo health center after he suddenly fell ill onboard the boat.

Officials at the island clinic said Risham died from unknown causes.

CDNN was unable to determine if an autopsy will be performed in order to determine what killed the teen diving victim.
