TOBERMORY, Ontario, Canada (15 July 2008) — An experienced diver died in relatively shallow water while scuba diving near Tobermory. Police told CDNN that Craig Whitehouse, 53, of Niagara-on-the-Lake, was solo diving when he apparently encountered problems and died. Whitehouse was with a large group of divers who chartered a dive boat that took them to Fathom Five National Marine Park where it anchored in about 35 feet of water. While the other divers were under the supervision of a divemaster, Whitehouse was scuba diving alone. Despite attempts to revive the victim with CPR, he died at the scene of the scuba diving accident. Police, coast guard and officials of Fathom Five National Marine Park are investigating the accident to determine the cause of death. | | U.S. Air Force reserve sergeant Douglas M.
