BOHOL, Philippines (23 July 2008) — Another tourist died scuba diving in the Philippines.

Michiuo Higaki, 58, drowned off Balicasag Island just a couple of hours after a tourist died scuba diving at Bohol Divers Resort.

Higaki was scuba diving with her husband, five friends and at least two instructors when she encountered problems.

One of the instructors took her to the surface and then they descended again to join the group.

Soon after they rejoined the other divers someone noticed that Higaki was unconscious and they brought her back to the surface from a depth of about seven meters.

She was rushed to Ramiro Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Police said the scuba diving accident is under investigation.
