SPLIT, Croatia (26 Aug 2008) — Police divers in Croatia recovered the bodies of two tourists who disappeared while scuba diving.

Authorities declined to identify the two men, aged 38 and 35, who went missing last Friday afternoon on the Dalmatian coast near Podgora.

After the wife of one of the two men called for help, police launched a full-scale search that involved rescue divers, severeal boats and at least one helicopter.

Rescuers found the bodies of the two victims on Sunday at a depth of about 40-45 meters.

Croatia is a popular scuba diving destination for Czech tourists.

On August 19, another Czech tourist died scuba diving near Pag Island.
