BATANGAS, Philippines (10 Oct 2008) — A Korean national went missing after diving off the waters of Mabini town in Batangas province, Tuesday morning.

Reported missing was Yong Kwang Park, 42, a professional diver. He has not returned after going on a solo dive in the UDA Beach Resort in Mabini town before noon Tuesday.

Park's Filipina partner, Fe Tolentino, said she last saw the Korean national around 11:45 a.m. She added that the Korean promised that he would return after an hour after because he has an appointment.

After an hour, Park did not return. Resort and Philippine Coast Guard divers also failed to locate the Korean national.

Local divers said the weather was clear when Park left the resort. They said the Korean diver could have lost consciousness during the dive.

Park carries a professional dive master's license. He started residing in the Philippines January this year.
