Scuba diving accident kills Reef Raider II customer

by LUTHER MONROE @ CDNN - CYBER DIVER News Network

MAYPORT, Florida (30 Dec 2008) — Another scuba diving accident has claimed the life of a Florida man.

Authorities have not yet identified the male victim who was diving off the Mayport-based Reef Raider II dive boat.

Authorities told CDNN the man collapsed and lost consciousness after resurfacing, apparently from decompression sickness.

Despite attempts to revive the victim, he never regained consciousness and was pronounced dead when the Reef Raider II dive boat reached shore.

On December 20, Jordan Anqyalfy, 22, died while scuba diving 25 miles east of St. Augustine.
