by LUTHER MONROE @ CDNN - CYBER DIVER News Network

BRISBANE, Australia (25 Jan 2009) — A woman who lost consciousness while scuba diving off North Stradbroke Island in Morton Bay was airlifted to hospital.

Authorities declined to identify the woman but told CDNN she was scuba diving with other divers off a chartered dive boat when the accident happened at about 1:00pm.

The dive boat crew called for help and officials scrambled a rescue helicopter that took the victim to Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane.
