Helicopter, lifeboat rescue Wemyss Bay scuba divers

by LUTHER MONROE @ CDNN - CYBER DIVER News Network

WEMYSS BAY, Scotland (25 Jan 2009) — Two scuba divers were rescued after they encountered problems in rough seas while scuba diving at Wemyss Bay.

Rescue officials told CDNN a Royal Navy helicopter and a lifeboat assisted in the rescue after a third diver called for help.

The helicopter crew rescued one of the divers and the lifeboat crew pulled the other one aboard and brought him to shore.

Both divers, who were exploring the wreck of the Kintyre, are in good condition.
