Coast Guard searching for diver missing off Lanai

by LUTHER MONROE @ CDNN - CYBER DIVER News Network

LANAI, Hawaii (26 Jan 2009) — The Coast Guard is searching for a man who disappeared this morning while diving off Lanai.

Bruno Ambay, 50, was diving with friends off a small boat about four nautical miles south of Manele Bay when he went missing.

The Coast Guard at Air Station Barbers Point and Station Mauis crambled helicopters at about 9:45am in response to a call for help from Ambay's friends.

The missing diver was wearing a brown hooded wetsuit and was using an orange float buoy with an orange flag.
