TOBERMORY, Scotland (29 Jan 2009) — Police in Strathclyde informed relatives of Neil Rodgers they believe a body found in the Sound of Mull is the missing BSAC scuba diver.
CDNN reported last March that Rodgers, 40, disappeared on a scuba diving trip to the Rhone shipwreck with the Doncaster Sub Aqua Club.
A major search and rescue effort failed to locate the father of three sons aged 13, 12, and 10, and a daughter aged 8.
Family, friends and fellow BSAC divers were traumatized by the fatal scuba diving accident.
Because the body has been in the water for nearly a year, a post mortem examination will be carried out to positively identify the victim's remains.
Officials believe a body found in the Sound of Mull is Neil Rodgers, who disappeared while scuba diving there nearly a year ago.
