Scuba diving accident kills Solmar V liveaboard dive boat customer

CABO SAN LUCAS, Mexico (24 Feb 2009) — The body of an American tourist who died during a Solmar V liveaboard scuba diving trip in Mexico has been recovered.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the 54-year-old woman who disappeared while scuba diving with her husband and another diver at Roca Partida, a popular dive site in the Sorocco Islands.
At about 9:00 am, divers found the scuba diving accident victim at a depth of about 76 meters (250 ft).
Assisting in the search for the American tourist were the Mexican Navy and the U.S. Coast Guard.
The Solmar V liveaboard dive boat is based in Cabo San Lucas, which is located about 300 miles northeast of the Sorocco Islands.
Roca Partida is a popular destination for scuba diving and fishing.
