SEATTLE, Washington (6 Mar 2009) — A severely injured diver was rushed to hospital after a scuba diving accident in Elliott Bay.
Authorities have not yet identified the scuba diving accident victim who was pulled to shore by his buddy.
Fire rescue officials said the buddy diver called 911 at about 2:20 pm and said the victim was having trouble breathing.
When paramedics arrived at the scene a few minutes later, the victim was unresponsive.
Paramedics rushed the man to Harborview Medical Center where he was listed in critical condition.
Last November, a scuba diving accident in the same area killed 30-year-old Duy Tran.
Tran, who was in a coma for six days before he died, left behind a wife and two young children.
