by LUTHER MONROE @ CDNN - CYBER DIVER News Network

DORSET, UK (3 Apr 2009) — A rescue helicopter airlifted an injured diver to hospital.

Authorities told CDNN the scuba diving accident victim was a 27-year-old male who apparently encountered problems at depth and ascended too rapidly.

The victim was scuba diving south of Anvil Point, near Swanage in Dorset when the accident happened.

The man is being treated for potentially fatal decompression sickness in a hyperbaric chamber.
